The 3rd annual University of Michigan event brought together key stakeholders to discuss strategies to improve employee mental health. The 2022 conference covered retention of young employees, case studies, special presentations on novel programs to support mental health, and an interactive session on resilience at work.

2021 Workplace Mental Health Conference 

The 2021 Workplace Mental Health Conference took place online on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed what people are looking for at work and the physical reality of the workplace. Organizations have had to adapt to this changing landscape and put employee well-being at the top of their list of priorities. This University of Michigan brought together over 300 key stakeholders to discuss strategies to improve employee mental health.Topics included transforming company culture, innovations in workplace mental health, case studies, and special presentations on millenials and compassion in the workplace.

2020 Workplace Mental Health Conference 

The 2020 Workplace Mental Health Conference took place online on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 

Led by the Workplace Mental Health Solutions team together with a multidisciplinary committee of experts, the Eisenberg Family Depression Center hosted its inaugural Workplace Mental Health Conference online in August 2020.

Given the mental health effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, each of the conference’s sessions were centered around the theme, “Supporting Employees in the COVID-19 Era”. The afternoon event featured keynote speaker Debra Lerner, MSc, PhD, and aimed to examine mental health challenges and solutions from both a corporate and academic perspective. A multidisciplinary group of nearly 150 employers and leaders from diverse industries, researchers, and mental health professionals signed up to learn about the impact of COVID-19 on employee mental health, as well as real-world strategies to support their teams moving forward.
