MCN: Mobile Coordinator Network

The Mobile Coordinator Network (MCN) is a discussion group that develops and shares resources to increase the efficiency, rigor and reproducibility of health studies utilizing mobile devices at the University of Michigan. MCN is open to U-M study coordinators working or planning health studies using mobile technologies. The network focuses on:

  • Best practices for remotely managed studies, enrolling and retaining study participants, ensuring the completion of study tasks, and communicating with participants.
  • Standardized template instructions for app download and use, device pairing, maximizing device effectiveness, remote data collection, and other common technology needs.
  • Regulatory processes, including IRB, information assurance (IA), etc., as they relate to mobile technologies in research.
  • The effectiveness and use of study and data management platforms.
