J. Todd Arnedt, Ph.D., is a professor of Psychiatry and director of the Behavioral Sleep Medicine Program at Michigan Medicine. He is certified in behavioral sleep medicine by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. His research interests include sleep loss in occupational settings, sleep and alcohol interactions, and cognitive behavioral treatments for sleep disorders. Dr. Arnedt obtained his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He went on to complete a 1-year clinical internship in behavioral medicine and a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in sleep research at Brown University.
