Peter Larson, Ph.D
Peter Larson, Ph.D., is an adjunct lecturer and research investigator in the department of Epidemiology in the School of Public Health. Dr. Larson was a participant in the inaugural cohort of the Research Incubator Program. His research as part of the program focused on climate change and environmental determinants of mental health-related Emergency Department visits. Dr. Larson's research interests include spatial and geographic information system analysis, environmental impact, infectious disease, and health disparities. His incubator project will explore the impact of climate change on mental health incidents requiring hospital-level intervention in older adults. His project examined the correlation between the effects of climate change and increased risk for acute mental health emergencies.
