Information

Alicia Williamson is a Ph.D. student in the School of Information working with advisor Dr. Tiffany Veinot. Her research study focuses on health informatics, with a special interest in mental and behavioral health. Her previous work includes studies that aim to understand health behaviors and decision-making, studies that aim to improve mental health outcomes within healthcare systems, and community youth mental health work with the Peace Corps in Peru. Her doctoral research is at the intersection of health equity and digital mental health. She is interested in how technologies can assist in reducing mental health disparities for marginalized populations. Her working dissertation focuses on technologies' role in accessing mental health support for people of low socioeconomic status.
