Dr. Bruni’s research interests align with her clinical specialties in pediatric weight management, elimination disorders, pediatric depression, and primary care psychology. Her research activities have included several quality improvement initiatives aimed at increasing patient access to behavioral health services. Projects have involved evaluating the impact of patient completion of pre-appointment material and the effect of using integrated models of service delivery on appointment completion rates. She is also involved in internally and externally funded grant projects aimed at developing and evaluating a physician Learner curriculum for treating mild to moderate depression in the primary care setting. Dr. Bruni’s future research initiatives will continue to focus on evaluating interventions and policies for improving patient access to evidence-based behavioral health care.
