Dr. Gerald Scott Winder is a clinical associate professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Surgery at the University of Michigan.  He holds a medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine and a Masters of Science degree from the University of Michigan Public Health.  He completed a general psychiatry residency and a consultation-liaison psychiatry fellowship at the University of Michigan.  As a consultation-liaison psychiatrist, Dr. Winder specializes in the psychiatric care of the medically ill.  In this clinical niche, he has co-founded specialty clinics embedded in organ transplantation, neurology, and hepatology working on multidisciplinary teams providing integrated psychiatric and medical care to patients whose diseases cross medical disciplines.
