The Eisenberg Family Depression Center Research Incubator program offers statistical support and guidance for U-M early-career faculty and emerging scholars using existing data in mental health research studies.

The Center’s Data & Design Core team oversees the Incubator program, which typically accepts 3 to 4 investigators annually and is open to researchers from all disciplinary backgrounds.

The application deadline for the upcoming cycle is June 7, 2024. Learn more and apply

Who should apply

This program is particularly valuable for investigators who:

  • Have experienced barriers in seeing their research ideas through to completion
  • Are new to mental health research
  • Have limited experience working with secondary data
  • Have limited statistical capacity
  • Don’t have a dedicated research team
  • Have short-term projects that are smaller in scope that can be completed in less than one year

Our Core team collaborates closely with participants to refine their research ideas and leads all research tasks for the project. This includes project management, identifying relevant data sources, all data management and analysis, interpretation of results, and collaboratively partnering to disseminate findings.
