In 2001, the Frances and Kenneth Eisenberg and Family Depression Center became the first center of its kind devoted to bringing depression into the mainstream of healthcare, education, and public policy.
Today, we're celebrating how far we've come and building on 25 years of leadership and community impact toward a future where fewer people develop depression, and more people get and stay well.
Showcasing depression research
We're marking the occasion with an afternoon research symposium featuring lightning talks and an interactive panel discussion on advances in depression and mental well-being research. We'll present the Eisenberg Research Prize to John Krystal, MD, of the Yale School of Medicine and hear about his breakthrough research.
Salute our 25th!
After the symposium, stay for a celebratory reception with U-M colleagues, collaborators, and friends of the Center. Together, we'll toast to this remarkable milestone, connect, and look forward to the next 25 years of impact and outreach. Appetizers and beverages will be served.
