Telemedicine and Digital Insomnia Therapies and Their Implementation in Clinical Trials

In this session, Todd Arnedt, Ph.D., will focus on considerations when implementing telemedicine and digital insomnia therapies into clinical trials. Dr. Arnedt will reflect on his team's experience conducting a non-inferiority trial comparing a commercially available telemedicine-based product for delivering sleep therapy (AASM SleepTM) to gold-standard in-person CBT for insomnia as well as discuss research and logistical issues for the expanding use of technologies in insomnia treatment trials. Some of the issues to be addressed include technical challenges and successes, budgetary considerations, and lessons learned.
