Mobile technology has the potential to facilitate high-impact advances in understanding the connection between mental and physical health.

Combining objective data from mobile/wearable technologies with traditional research tools and health and behavioral data allows for:

  • Longitudinal timescale
  • Inclusion of diverse populations
  • Reduced burden on research participants
  • Scalable research
  • Improved research efficiency

Mobile technology support for U-M researchers

Our Mobile Technologies Core provides University of Michigan investigators with the guidance and resources needed to utilize mobile technologies and digital mental health measures in their studies. Our experienced faculty and staff offer hands-on consultative services to U-M investigators, regardless of research focus.

Developed in collaboration with partners across the university, our goal is to leverage the capabilities of mobile technologies to facilitate high-impact health research that includes mental health parameters to accelerate the discovery of whole-person treatments and prevention strategies.
