The Frances and Kenneth Eisenberg Family Depression Center was recently thrilled to welcome Swati Bajpayee as the Center’s new Managing Director, effective June 21.
Swati has been with Michigan Medicine since 2018, where she first joined the institute as an Administrative Fellow in the Office of the President. She worked on several high-impact projects across the institute, partnering with various units, including the Office of Strategy, the Office of Clinical Affairs, the Office of Faculty Affairs/Data & Analytics, and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology to name a few. Swati then went on to join the Department of Internal Medicine as the Division Administrator for Allergy & Clinical Immunology in July of 2019. She brings with her a wealth of administrative, operational, and financial expertise to the Center.
Swati interviewed for the position among a group of very talented applicants. Her exceptional work ethic, her ability to rapidly adapt to and learn new concepts and processes, her intelligence, and her interpersonal skills clearly solidified the selection. As anyone who has had the opportunity to work with, and for, Swati will attest to, there is no doubt that she will do an outstanding job in her new role as Managing Director and help the Center reach the bright future it envisions.
Swati received her bachelor’s degree in Economics with University Honors from Wayne State University in Detroit. She then earned her Master of Science in Basic Medical Science at Wayne State University School of Medicine and her Master of Science in Health Care Management at Johns Hopkins University.
