Designing Behavioral Trials That Use an mHealth Platform: Hindsight is 20/20
In this DIGIT-MI session, Noelle Carlozzi, Ph.D., will present results from two RCTs focused on establishing the efficacy of a just-in-time-adaptive intervention to foster self-care and improve the health-related quality of life for care partners of people with traumatic brain injury. This will be followed by a discussion of the lessons learned from conducting this trial and point out several factors mHealth researchers should consider when designing behavioral trials that use an mHealth platform.
Dr. Carlozzi is the director of the U-M Center for Clinical Outcomes Development and Application and a professor of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and Surgery at Michigan Medicine.
You must register for our 2024-25 DIGIT-MI season to receive session details and the Zoom link. This internal event is open to U-M faculty, staff, trainees and learners only.
DIGIT-MI is an affinity group where University of Michigan faculty and staff meet to connect, learn and share resources that encourage the increased use of digital and mobile technologies and mental wellness measurements in health research. Virtual sessions are held on the second Monday of the month from September through June.
