Alexander Chaitoff, M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Chaitoff is a research scientist in the Center for Clinical Management Research at the Veterans Affairs Ann Arbor Health System and an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School. He attended medical school at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. He completed both an internal medicine residency and a research fellowship in implementation science at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. As a clinician-researcher, he is interested in reevaluating the safety and efficacy of medications as adults age and then finding the best ways to get older adults onto the most appropriate treatment regimens. His work has appeared in numerous high-impact journals, including JAMA, JAMA Internal Medicine, Diabetes Care, and Annals of Internal Medicine.
