Dan Adler is a current visiting faculty member and incoming assistant professor in the Computer Science & Engineering Division at the University of Michigan, effective August 2026. His research broadly focuses on designing, developing and evaluating novel data-driven technologies and AI models by rigorously studying their high-stakes and complex health care applications. His research is inherently interdisciplinary, situated at the intersection of human-computer interaction (HCI), responsible AI, ubiquitous computing, and digital health. He received his doctorate and master’s degrees in information science at Cornell University, and his bachelor’s degree at The Johns Hopkins University.
