I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Neuroscience Graduate Program at the University of Michigan. I previously attended The University of Texas at El Paso, a minority serving institution, where I received a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Biology. I am a National Science Foundation (NSF) fellow and a Society for Neuroscience (SFN) Neuroscience Scholar Program (NSP) associate. I am a committee member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) at the Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience Institute, led by Dr. Jill Becker, and an active board member of the Umich chapter Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) organization.
