I study youth social media use and its relation to their well-being, including problem drinking and mental health. Currently, my work focuses on the impact that adolescent passive Instagram use has on their depression symptomology in real-time. Using the result from this ecological momentary assessment, I will design an in-the-moment technology-based depression intervention for adolescents.
